The Graduate Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (GICCI) is located in Pingtung County of southern Taiwan with culture and tourism as well as leisure activities. Not only close to the natural landscapes of "Kenting National Park", "Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area" but also possess affluent cultural resources including different cultures of Aboriginal, Hakka and Minnan etc. In recent years, Pingtung County pays much more attention to conducting many festivals of tourism and forming the community of cultural and creative industries.

The Tajen University has founded the serving special classes of GICCI since 2010/5/19 for the purpose of coordinating the promotion of cultural and creative industries and the development of cultural tourism activities in Pingtung. To foster the local R & D personnel of cultural and creative industries and offer excellent opportunities for the people who focus on history work and are sincere in cultural and creative industries the training of reflux.

In terms of curriculum development, the GICCI will integrate diverse faculty and curriculum together with the ground cultural resources. Besides, strengthen the knowledge and ability for the analysis of marketing operations. To make courses cover both theoretical and practical applications and foster those who possess cultural and creative research by making good use of innovative applications of digital technology. Concerning the long-term development for the coming future, the GICCI will strengthen international contacts and expand international cultural perspective so as to reach the purpose of the international academic exchange.
