Tajen University has established a reputation for providing a well-trained faculty and offering continuing educational opportunities for high school as well as vocation school graduates in the Pingtung and Kaoshiuang areas. A two-year junior college program and a four-year bachelor's program were first launched in 1988 and 2001, respectively.
Now the night school offers a wide range of programs in Pharmacy, Food Science and Technology,
Environmental Engineering and Science, Occupational Safety and Hygiene, Nursing, Healthcare Administration,
Applied Foreign Languages, Recreation Sports Management, Early Childhood Care and Education, Information
Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Marketing and Distribution Management. The school's primary purpose is to prepare students for careers in their fields and to provide continuing education services forworking professionals who seek career advancement and/or enrichment. The curricula are well designed to prepare studentsto serve the evolving needs of society. All students have access to comprehensive high-tech facilities and equipment. Now Tajen enrolls over five thousand students and has over four hundred faculty members with PhD's and Master's degrees,including many distinguished scholars.
The major emphasis of the night school'scurricula is to put theory into practice in order to meet the needs of the community.
